The Drama Surrounding Celebrity Dog Trainer Cesar Milan

The Drama Surrounding Celebrity Dog Trainer Cesar Milan from cesarsway.com
My experience with Dog Trainer Cesar Milan
Do I know him?  Nope.  Have I met him?  Nope.  My experience is based on a book that someone recommended and a few episodes of his television show that I’ve seen.  I haven’t seen anything that shocks me.  I took from his book what I felt comfortable applying to the training of our dogs.  I haven’t put much energy beyond this into Cesar Milan.
The drama surrounding Cesar Milan is fascinating.  I’ve heard of the video of him kicking a dog, but I haven’t seen it.  I’ve heard that people on his show have to relinquish rights to seek damages should any harm come to their dog, but I haven’t seen a contract.  I spent an hour searching online about Cesar Milan and found people who love his work and his methods and people who do not.

Introducing a new dog to your current one

Introducing a New Dog

When introducing two dogs, it’s best to allow them to establish their own pack order. While the older dog commonly takes the place as the most dominate, this is not always the case and a younger dog may become more dominate. Reinforce the established pack order as much as possible. The dog that is higher in the pack should be fed meals and given treats before the second dog. It’s never a good idea to adopt a sympathetic attitude towards the lower-ranked dog, especially towards the beginning of the relationship, as this can destroy the unity and could lead to a dog fight or aggressive behavior.
Introducing a new dog to a household with a resident dog can cause some initial friction. There will be a period of adjustment for both the animals and their owners, but with patience and a sense of control over both dogs, the introduction could be the start of a wonderful new relationship.

why dogs eat poo

There are several reasons why some dogs like to eat their poop. Some dog owners report that their dogs have a habit of eating feces and they don’t know what to do to stop the habit. Actually, this condition is known as Coprophagia, It is a condition where the dog likes to eat his own feces or the feces of other animals. This can be due to certain medical conditions, or for dietary reasons. Your dog can instinctually develop such habits due to insufficient nutritional intake or when giving your dog food that is not suitable for them especially if they have a medical condition. Other reasons why dogs eat poop can include the onset of stress, in dogs that are often chained and are less interactive with other dogs, in the case when dogs are not walked frequent enough and are not allowed to play with other dogs.

American Bulldogs

the history of the American Bulldogs

When the word Bulldog is said, usually the vision of a short, stubby, flat faced, snorting dog. That breed was originally termed, English Bulldog, which later was shortened to Bulldog.

bulldogs American Bulldogs
When researching the history of Bulldogs, it is much more likely to find pictures and photos of a thick dog, with a slightly shortened snout, and longer legs. Keeping in mind, the purpose of these dogs were bull baiters, and hunters of large animals, this of course, seems a more rational size and mobility.

Acupressure for dogs

Acupressure Strengthening

There is something in the air. The chill of winter is giving-way to softer, warmer days. Dogs are happy to be outside watching their world come alive again with birds, squirrels and leaves. You can watch your dog is starting to stretch and strengthen their legs as if they know in their being what the physical demands of the new season will bring.

Acupressure for dogs

As you gradually and consistently increase the dog’s exercise level, you can combine it with an acupressure session to have the optimal effect for his physical well-being. Remember to work with your dogs on uneven terrain so that they build rounded muscles and tendons that are suited for the activities they will be encountering over the summer. Acupressure for dogs
A Spring Warm-up Acupressure Session can be used for any age dog, though they are especially good for older dogs to enhance the suppleness of their tendons, ligaments and muscles. These sessions will help avoid early-season injuries while the dog is building his strength. You and your dog can enjoy the spring with all its promise of healthy, active months of fun.

Dog Carriers

Where is the safest place for your dog to ride in your car? Well, for sure, it’s not with his face out the window...sorry to be a party pooper but that’s down right dangerous even if it is fun. Probably the safest place is at home, but if he really does like to do errands with you and you’ve thrown in a stop at the dog park, then lets look at your options for keeping him safe in the car.
Dog Carriers
If you own a SUV with a cargo area, then that can be a starting place. With all that space to explore, you won’t know exactly what your dog is up to unless you turn around and look! Over 30,000 auto accidents occur each year because you looked! You can purchase a metal or net barrier to put over the back seat so Fido stays back there. Make sure that barrier is something that will stay in place in case your dog comes hurling at it in a collision....otherwise it’s just for looks. A 60 pound dog becomes a 1200 pound projectile at just 35 miles per hour!
